precious moments

As my last post was about my oldest daughter, today I have a canvas layout of my youngest,
Yiscka and her boyfriend Martin.
Just love this photo of Yiscka, so happy and in love.

Here is how I created the background:

Started with a stencil (Hobbyshop Sandra)
and some modeling paste.(Dutch doobadoo)
Painted with the turquoise and purple acrylic paints.(Martha Stewart)
Added some water to let the colors run a bit.
Gave it all a touch of gesso (13arts) and made some splashes with the paint.
The black splashes are from 13arts Splash!

Some white leaves and twigs from my stash.

A cluster of flowers . The cherry blossoms are from Scrapberry's.

Marked some areas with a white Sharpie pen.
Outlined some edges with gelatos from Fiber Castell.

The flowers got a touch of gesso as well.

The happy couple.
Found the white frame at a local flee market.

Enjoy your day!

canvas layout "happy together"

Today I made a canvas layout with a photo of my daughter and boyfriend, or I should say her future husband. This photo was taken on the beach when he asked the big question: will you marry me?
Of course she said yes and this photo shows perfectly her emotions and happiness.
She had to cry but they were happy tears! :)

Love to work on a canvas, perfect for all the paints!

I made the background with a 13 arts flower template.
Painted with pink and orange acrylic.
To soften the bright colors, I gave it a touch with gesso.
Splashed some with 13arts Splash in black and white.

Some flowers, buttons and twigs.
Cherry blossom flowers and the metal plate are from Scrapberry's, also in 13arts shop.

Had these buttons in my stash forever, also the tiny heart bead.

My sweeties! :)

T and T, their initials of Tessa en Tom.

I love the texture of the canvas!

Enjoy your day!
